Peter Copping has firmly taken the reins of being head designer at Oscar de la Renta and has proven that he was worthy of the post. As an homage to the brand’s founder, Copping had each seat topped with a single red carnation – de la Renta’s favorite flower and one that is significant in both Spanish and Latin cultures. The Ready to Wear Collection reflected this homage with plenty of Flamenco ruffles and matador jackets. The color palette was distinctly Spanish, as well: red, black, and white.

The silhouettes were modern and added some playfulness to the otherwise classical collection. It was well in keeping with the brand’s signature styles.
