On the 7th of November Zankyou attended the World Travel Market (WTM) in London for 2 days until the 9th of November. Zankyou was represented by Isabel Tesch, Sebastian Spalding-Siracusa and Aadam Singh who together make up the International Sales & Marketing team in the Zankyou’s head office in Madrid.
The reason it was important for our Zankyou representatives to travel to London for these two days is because we are placing a huge emphasis on the growth and development of our honeymoon market. Being a wedding website we offer inspiration and solutions to all the problems a wedding day can create, but we also understand that honeymoons are very closely linked to the wedding sector, and consequently cannot neglect this $12 billion dollar-a-year industry either.
As the honeymoon industry keeps growing and diversifying we aim to have an increasingly varied portfolio of hotels and resorts to give our readers more and more choice. However, we do not only work with hotels and resorts but also national tourism boards, tour operators and DMCs. We do this in order for couples to have all the possible information available to them through one stream…Zankyou’s website.

Another major incentive for attending events such as the WTM, is that they allow us to make numerous meetings and speak with a variety of different establishments and people in a very concentrated period of time. Moreover, although we have a global presence within the B2C market we want to have a more established name in the B2B market, and these B2B events give companies like ourselves the opportunity to increase brand awareness among other enterprises, and put a face to a name.
Lastly, we cannot let the opportunity to meet with pre-existing clients pass us by as we take our customer care very seriously and this of course extends to our B2B relationships. The WTM was incredibly successful and the International Sales and Marketing team cannot wait to attend future events like Fitur in Madrid and ITB in Berlin.
