Removed from the distraction of the big city, surrounded by the countryside, and with a blue sky beaming over them and their venue, Carlos and Whitney decided to have their wedding outside in Mexico so they could be attuned to nature on their big day. A huge treat for fans of “aesthetic”, this wedding ticked all of the artistic boxes, which was perfectly reflected in the photography of Bruno Rezza, who managed to capture the wonder and joy of this couples’ big day almost effortlessly. Don’t miss out on inspiration for your own outdoors wedding – take a closer look at Carlos and Whitney’s bohemian wedding for ideas!
Whitney looked beautiful in her very alternative wedding dress: a straight cut gown with long sleeves, transparent panelling, and floral embroidery. To accompany her bohemian look, she wore her hair down and had a traditional wedding veil alongside it. The shoes she chose were white ankle boots instead of the usual heels, once again proving just how different this couple wanted to be for their big day. Shunning the age-old bridal traditions, Whitney looked like the perfect modern bride on her wedding day – and even chose to avoid makeup!
For his parte, Carlos chose a wedding suit accompanied by a floral shirt and a printed tie. His choice of suspenders were the key to completing his bohemian look, as well as the spectacularly kooky pair of sunglasses he chose to wear to the ceremony.
In line with the aesthetic that Whitney and Carlos had worked so hard to create with their outfits, their ceremony was held in the middle of the countryside. An altar was constructed for them out of tree trunks, and decorated with wildflowers to truly represent nature. Whitney was walked down the aisle by her mother, and both shed tears as they did so, in an incredibly emotive part of the day. Carlos couldn’t contain his feelings either, unable to look at his future wife walked down the aisle in her beautiful dress.

The key moment, undoubtedly, was when the bride and groom shared their vows with one another. They and their guests laughed, cried and swooned at the words, and promised to love one another eternally. At the end, when they were pronounced man and wife, they walked back down the aisle hand in hand, ready to celebrate the start of a new chapter of their lives together.
A brief pause
Before the reception, Carlos and Whitney were accompanied by their photographer Bruno Rezza to a few different locations nearby to have an exclusive photoshoot of the two of them as newlyweds. Enjoying the natural scenery and making the most of this new time together, you can tell from the photos that they are completely unaware of the rest of the world – with eyes only for one another.
A barn was the perfect place for this couple and their guests to celebrate the wedding. As a part of the celebrations, Carlos and Whitney performed a dance together for their first dance, to music that made sure that everyone was up and dancing by the end of the night. A buffet accompanied the reception, with a variety of food available to guests.
One of the most original aspects of the wedding was a space where guests could get tattoos! Carlos and Whitney hired a professional, who was happy to give their friends and family little extra personal touches – a touch that truly reflected Carlos’ outgoing personality.
