We love a couple in love, and we especially love it when they can have a little fun with themselves. Lauren and Tom got married in the magnificent St. Patrick – St. Anthony Church in Hartford, Connecticut and then celebrated with family and friends in the gorgeous Wadsworth Mansion. The pictures in the park are so luscious we can almost taste the green.
Tom and Lauren meet at St. Bonaventure University. They were introduced by a mutually friend Christopher Schott. Tom was a rugby player and Lauren a cross-country runner. Being athletes they spent time in the gym and on the schools athletic fields. The friendship quickly turned into a relationship. They dated all through college. After graduation they moved to New York City.
Tom proposed to Lauren in Central Park. The night of the engagement ended with a dinner on the town and a bottle of champagne. Tom and Lauren had a 2 ½ year engagement. Lauren planned every detail (with the help of Pinterest) for the weeding. They decided on a navy and gold color theme that would go great at the Wadsworth Mansion.
Lauren wore an Italian lace gown with hand sown beading and a cathedral length veil.
After the ceremony, Tom and Lauren greeted their guests before boarding a bus to the reception. The guests arrived to the surprise venue that evening and were treated to a cocktail hour followed by a sit down dinner. The couple danced to “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Ray – a perfect song for the subtle Great Gastby theme the couple had throughout the day.
Rachel and Mike enjoyed a beautiful and elegant wedding in New Rochelle's most premier venue, The Fountainhead, with their closest family and friends. Here are their lovely photos, courtesy of talented wedding photographer, Hendrik Moy.
