Dating in 2017 is much different than when our parents were in the dating scene. With numerous dating websites and apps being used daily, you can’t help but wonder if it is truly possible to find your spouse through one of these channels. Our Real Wedding couple, Sabrina and Kevin, defy those odds and show that love has no judgement. Traditional or nontraditional, when it’s meant to be, nothing can stop love from bringing two people together.
The Love Story:
Sabrina and Kevin are a successful love story for the millennial generation. After meeting on the popular dating app, Tinder, these two individuals that describe themselves as “the most indecisive people,” knew for the first time in their lives that there was no doubt in their minds they were meant to be together for the rest of their lives. One evening, Sabrina and Kevin were on their way home after a romantic evening celebrating their three month anniversary. Much to Sabrina’s surprise, the apartment was adorned with red roses, candles, and the voice of Peter James’ in the background singing, “I Can’t Help But Falling In Love With You.” Kevin led Sabrina up to their bedroom where a little white box was placed on the bed next to a bottle of champagne. It was in that moment that Kevin got down on one knee, began to express his love for Sabrina, and without a second thought, popped the question. To which Sabrina quickly replied, “Yes, yes, a thousand times, yes!”
Choosing The Dress:
Sabrina had an appointment at the bridal boutique, Grace Loves Lace, one Sunday morning. She was accompanied by her parents. The appointment was initially meant to be a day to try on different dresses and draw some inspiration of what Sabrina might want her dream dress to entail. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would find the dress on her first attempt. As she walked out of the changing room, dawning a laced dress accented with a side slit that added a sophisticated hint of sexiness, both her parents began to tear up as they saw their daughter in her wedding gown for the first time. Everyone unanimously agreed it was “the one.”
Sabrina and Kevin found that planning their wedding details wasn’t so difficult as they thought it would be. They decided on an elopement, and thanks to the recommendation from a friend, the couple discovered Jolly Lookout Mount Nebo Road in Brisbane, Australia. The location featured a breathtaking, sunrise backdrop. Sabrina and Kevin decided this was the perfect place for them to tie the knot. Everything was beginning to fall into place.

Following the theme of the elopement, as hard as it may have been, the couple decided to keep their guest list to a maximum number of three people. Having three of their closest friends present on that day was very special for Sabrina and Kevin. It allowed for the wedding to have an intimate and serene ambiance; exactly how they had envisioned it from the very beginning. When it came time to finding someone to capture the moments of their special day, the couple reached out to Travelshoot; a company that offers its photographic services all across the world. Travelshoot connected the couple with one of the local photographers who scoped out the location weeks before the wedding day to ensure the couple would have the best photographs.
On the day of the wedding, the couple began their pre-wedding ceremony preparations at 11:30 p.m. Being that they wanted to say their “I Do’s” with the sunrise as their backdrop, they planned to begin the ceremony at 4:45 a.m. As if it were a scene out of a movie, the sun began to rise as the couple exchanged their vows. Sabrina recalls seeing Kevin waiting eagerly for her at the lookout. Listening to the words “I Do” come out of his mouth, followed by a fairy tale kiss, gave her a feeling she will forever remember. Kevin notes the moment Sabrina began walking towards him, looking flawless in her wedding dress. “My heart skipped a beat as she smiled at me and our eyes met for the first time.” He continues, “That moment nearly brought me to tears. I took a deep breath, wiped a tear from my eye, and continued with the happiest day of my life.”
When you finally meet the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, planning a wedding can be quite easy and fun. Sabrina and Kevin may not have known every detail they wanted for the wedding, but they did know all they needed was a white dress, a bow tie, a beautiful bouquet, and the two of them saying “I Do.”
