The beautiful thing about love is that it finds us when we least expect it. The minute we stop searching and allow fate to take its course, that’s when love comes rushing in.
The Love Story
Rebecca and Dustin met at the unlikeliest place you would find your future spouse; a divorce party (yes, those exist.) The couple was introduced to each other for the first time, started talking, and the rest as they say, is history. One evening as Rebecca was arriving home from work, Dustin was in the kitchen preparing dinner, as per usual. As Rebecca was freshening up, Dustin was in the kitchen preparing things a bit differently for this midweek dinner. As Rebecca came down for dinner, much to her surprise, Dustin was dressed formally and had set out a bouquet of red roses, their favorite movie playing in the background on the television, chocolate milk, (Rebecca’s favorite!) and a beautiful diamond ring. Dustin was there to greet her, down on one knee. In Rebecca’s words, it was perfection.

The couple knew from the beginning that they didn’t want a large, lavish wedding and thus, decided to elope. No guests, just the two of them. Their plans were to marry in Las Vegas and honeymoon throughout the U.S. and Canada. Although Rebecca and Dustin were tying the knot in Viva Las Vegas, they weren’t necessarily looking to be married by an Elvis Presley impersonator. And so, they finally stumbled upon The Luxor hotel, located on The Las Vegas Strip. The Luxor offered the most reasonable wedding package, yet still had the elements of sophistication and class. It was exactly what the couple was looking for and everything they wanted.
Given that the couple opted to elope abroad, one of their priorities was to highlight Las Vegas in their wedding photos. They also wanted to ensure they had amazing pictures of their wedding day to show their family and friends whom were unable to join them for the ceremony. Unfortunately, the photographer provided by the wedding chapel was quite expensive and only took pictures inside the chapel. Thus, the photos would be taken in artificial lighting and wouldn’t show the beautiful sights of Las Vegas as the couple had originally wanted. Rebecca and Dustin decide to go another route, and chose to hire Travelshoot and arranged for a photographer to meet them on the Las Vegas Strip for their wedding photo shoot. Although the couple did not have a formal reception, fond memories were made as they were on The Strip dressed in their wedding attire, being congratulated by practically everyone who would walk past them. Street performers even began playing, “Here Comes the Bride” for Rebecca. The atmosphere was electric and the happiness was infectious.
Rebecca and Dustin may have met in the unlikeliest of places, but there is nothing unlikely about their love. Their wedding day was not only what they had envisioned, but it was the perfect beginning for their life as a married couple. Zankyou wishes nothing but love and happiness for the lovely couple!
