Tathi and Andrei’s love story begins in kindergarten. First elementary school friends, they soon became sweethearts. Until one of them went to another college and they lost contact. But 25 years later they met again by chance and decided to continue writing their love story together. Kleenex at the ready…
Proposal in the Snow
It was 25 years after they met that Tathi and Andrei were reunited at a party and recognized each other immediately. “From there, a series of coincidences happened and continued to happen in our story,” says Tathi. The sequence of events certainly peaked with a proposal at the top of the Zermatt mountains in Switzerland. “Right up there, with lots of snow, the way we like it! It was very special and unexpected,“recalls the bride, who started snowboarding under the influence of her now husband.

A Ceremony with Rock and Faith
When Tathi and Andrei decided to get married, they decided that it was very important to have a religious ceremony, but for it to also have more dimension and reflect them as a couple. “So we hired the Ornamentus Orchestra and together we created a repertoire of classic rock, all songs from our history,” says the bride. The ceremony was held at dusk on a lawn in front of the Búzios sea.
Conducted by Pastor Vitor, a family friend, the ceremony was the highlight of Thati and Andrei´s big day. “We almost collapsed when we saw each other and we will never forget that feeling. There was a movie playing in our head and somehow we materialized what I knew would happen from the moment we met again,” rejoices the bride, who wore a Martu dress. “She thrilled me from beginning to end, read my soul and translated my vision into the dress of my dreams.“
Original Decoration
Tathi says that what influenced her and Andrei’s choices for wedding decoration was the desire to refer to the memory of the couple and the people they love. So she made a point of having lavender at her wedding, which are flowers that connect her to her mother, who sadly died shortly after the proposal. “Despite the femininity of the lavender, I didn’t want it to be a super romantic decoration,” explains the bride. Thus, Bia Pedrini – who as in charge of part of the decoration and all the wedding floral design – used Texan grass to line the aisle.

Antiques from the newlyweds’ families and other pieces of decoration complemented the ornaments at the lodge. Tathi and Andrei didn’t stick to a specific style, but went for what was in the aesthetic of the film “Marie Antoinette” and from that Bia Pedrini sought inspiration. “She’s sensitive, demanding. It gave life and personality to our wedding decoration and floral design project. “

True Friends
It was not just Tathi and Andrei’s ceremony that was held outdoors. The party was also under the stars, by the sea, and the bride and groom opened the dance floor to the sound of Led Zepellin’s “All of My Love”. All the details of that exciting night were shot by the duo behind Thrall Photography. “They have already been warned not to go away anymore and that they will be with me of the christening of our child when he/she turns 80. They have become true friends.“
Bride´s Advice
Tathi and Andrei not only took care of all the wedding preparations together but also involved the family for the whole process. And of course, they had professional help: “It’s vital to have a good ceremonialist for planning and for the wedding day itself.” Tathi also advises that the bride and groom do not leave anything lingering for the week of the wedding. “This is key to being relaxed and calm on the day. But there will be demands!” she laughs.
