On his wedding day, Daulton was able to profess his love and dedication to the two most important things in his life – his patriotic work in the US Navy, and his wonderful partner Kathrina. For their big day, the couple travelled to Daulton’s workplace at the Coronado Naval Base in San Diego, California; he donned his strapping uniform for the ceremony, whilst Kathrina wore a gorgeous gown with a lace brocade bodice and flowing chiffon skirt.
The ceremony took place at a beautiful beachside location near to the Base, with a small crowd of their closest friends and family in attendance. With crystal clear skies, and the gentle tumbling of the waves behind them, Kathrina and Daulton’s day was the epitome of the perfect outside wedding. The gorgeous flower arrangements only contributed to this image.
The union of a formal military backdrop, and a more vintage, rustic theme was captured with skill by the photographers at Willmus Weddings, who also kept themselves busy in helping to organise the wedding itself. At their reception, Kathrina and Daulton made clear their wish to depart from a more traditional style by replacing their wedding cake with a giant stack of donuts – which were also vegan!
In the evening, the couple performed their first dance together as husband and wife, which was quickly followed by a choreographed dance performed by Daulton and his Navy friends – a highlight of the reception to be sure! More dancing and jiving followed, with the joy felt by all attendees clearly visible.
We wish Kathrina and Daulton all the very best for their future together – and hope that their wedding can be a source of inspiration for any couples looking for the best beachside location!
