The good thing about love is that each person experiences it in their own way. Just as there are multiple types of love, the world is crowded with personalities as diverse as snowflakes. Perhaps that is what makes humanity interesting, despite the advent of an increasingly similar society.
In this sense, marriages also seem numerous and varied. That of Dale Partridge, an American writer and entrepreneur, is one of those that will go down in romantic history. His message on Facebook in reference to his marriage has penetrated and affected the virtual universe in such a way that it has become viral, a milestone in this new 2.0 society. This is what Partridge says:
“Men are so worried that marriage will leave them with ‘only one woman’ for the rest of their lives. That’s simply not true. I fell in love with a 19-year-old rock climber, married a 20-year-old animal lover, started a family with a 24-year-old mother, then built a farm with a 25-year-old homemaker, and today I’m married to a 27-year-old woman of wisdom. If your mind is healthy, you’ll never get tired of “one woman”. You’ll actually become overwhelmed with how many beautiful versions of her you get to marry over the years. Don’t say no to marriage, say yes and keep saying yes until the day you die.”
Clear, powerful, accurate and romantic. But is he right?

How many people live inside themselves? Each person is a universe with their own characteristics. Dale Partridge has known, up until now, five women in his marriage. Hobbies, work decisions, personal experiences and relationships with friends and family are able to nourish new personalities within us. For this simple reason, marriage, a problem for some who don’t want to be limited to a single person for the rest of their life, draws strength from this interesting perspective on the world.
Discovering the virtues of being a couple over a long period of time is much more encouraging than giving up and running. We say “yes” to a logical marriage (with some bumps along the way), independence and authenticity – that’s a real relationship. That way, the different people who live within us will enjoy a long, mysterious, fresh, unpredictable, healthy and sincere life together. What an adventure.
