Where have all the princes gone? They´ve gone and gotten married, that´s what. Our fairy tale princess hopes are getting dashed each year as eligible (and not to mention incredibly handsome) prince after eligible prince gets hitched. Swedishcould give David Gandy a run for his money, and Pierre Casiraghi is the grandson of the beauty icon Grace Kelly, need we say more? There are no spectacular pictures yet, as it was the civil ceremony that took place this weekend in Monaco. The intimate ceremony took place last Saturday at 11.30 am, officiated by the Minister of Justice of the Principality, in the Pink Palace´s Salon des Glaces. The intimate ceremony was attended by 70 people, including relatives and close friends.
But we are not without pictures. A single image was released courtesy of Valentino, the designer Beatrice Borromeo chose for her civil wedding dress. The dusky pink, silk chiffon bohemian sheath dress is so sweet, we love the illusion lace embroidered sleeves. Paired with a simple wreath and bouquet, the look is perfectly complimented by the gorgeous flower arrangements at the Palace. Pierre, meanwhile, wore a classic grey suit.
After the ceremony, the couple celebrated with over 500 guests in the palace gardens – this is just the civil ceremony, remember. For the occasion, the couple asked their guests come dressed in costumes of their respective countries. We love this idea!
The celebration was started off as a picnic and continued with a gala dinner at the Hotel de Paris. For this occasion, Beatrice wore a another gown by Valentino: a floor length, white evening gown with stunning bar back and silver embellishments.
The celebrations finished at Jimmy’z club, where the newlywed couple and their guests danced into the early morning.
We can´t wait to see what the religious ceremony will unveil with this stylish couple.
