This real wedding has one of the best trash the dress ideas we’ve seen. The bride and groom decided to plan their big day together and prioritized those few things that mattered most to them: music, relaxed atmosphere, nature and lasting images of the event.
From the bride: We also wanted to be sure to include a grape stomp! It also helps that we are both oenophiles (at least in love if not knowledge) so a vineyard setting was ideal! The owners at Priam worked wonderfully with us to create an environment that captured our personalities. We were able to be outside for much of the evening, enjoying a fire pit and lounge environment among the grapevines.
Because the bride and groom were so clear on how they wanted to plan their wedding, they decided to keep things simple with suits and dresses and to spend more attention and time on the non-traditional decor. They enlisted the help of Stems Flower Design who created incredible bouquets, boutonnieres, and all the florals for the wedding. They utilized rock, moss, ferns, wood and other earthy elements to enliven our space, avoiding more standard cut flowers.
From the Bride: We sought out a photographer who saw nature as we did: as a starring character in our wedding rather than a background element. We wanted someone who would be able to capture more than the moments, but also the essence of the event; to be a witness to those aspects in which we were present as well as those of which we were not a part. Photomuse was that and then some! Photomuse made sure to take time with requested posed photos, but our night was not spent posing for countless photos, but rather enjoying ourselves. The majority of photos captured the emotion rather than just the people involved. The work was editorial and personal.
