The photo album is the true story of the wedding, that’s why Valeria Manzoni, founder of EM Wedding Studio believes in capturing all the special moments of your wedding. Valeria, a freelance photographer who lives and works in Naples, Italy, has collaborated with the most famous Neapolitan art galleries and has worked as a photojournalist for national newspapers. Valeria is a photographer who knows how to capture the emotions of the moment artistically.
Of the thousands of pictures one takes on their wedding day, it’s hard to choose what goes in the album, so we asked Valeria what she has experienced as a professional wedding photographer.
1. Must Have Moments
‘The photos that are an absolute must in any wedding album are personal shots of the couple, especially the fist look, as well as the bride and groom with their family,” says Valeria. This can be quite the task as the photographer has to understand the minute and intimate gestures and looks shared between loved ones. “In addition to intimate photos with family, there must be photos of the couple interacting and celebrating with their friends and guests, which adds another layer to the story of the couple,” says Valeria. It reveals more about the character of the bride and the groom – as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words and a wedding photo album is a story about you!
2. Bridal Focus
“Apart from images of the couple interacting with the people they love that convey strong emotions, in my opinion, the second most important shots that can’t be missed are flattering portraits that enhances the beauty of the bride.” Valeria Manzoni knows that in this age of wedding reportage, in which the wedding album looks like just a series of moments passing, a beautiful and artistic portrait is essential in order to make the album unique and personal – this is, after all, a once-in-a-lifetime moment!
3. What’s Too Much

Remember, the wedding album is not just for you, but also for your future children, or people who weren’t able to attend your wedding. You don’t want to bog them down with images that may have meaning to you, but otherwise don’t add to the story of your wedding day. Anything that looks unnatural needs to go, Valeria Manzoni says, “I never ask my couples to strike unnatural poses that make them uncomfortable” – their discomfort comes through in the photo and it throws off the flow of the wedding album.
4. What’s The Secret Ingredient that makes a Perfect Wedding Album?
“Trust between the couple and the photographer, in my opinion, the only way you can achieve some unforgettable photos that will touch the soul is if there is a true understanding between the bride and groom and their photographer,” says Valeria. The photographer must be able to blend with the environment and capture special moments discreetly and naturally.
So how do you achieve the perfect wedding album? Enjoy your day and don’t worry about it! You’ve done your research and chosen your photographer, now trust her: your most special moments will be forever immortalized.
