David and Laura married this past summer in Indianapolis, at the incredible Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral – truly one of the most awe-inspiring venues possible for a romantic, classic wedding. Childhood sweethearts, this lovely couple met in school, followed each other through university, and became engaged when David popped the question amongst the beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains in Denver. The devotion that these two have for one another was a prevailing theme on their wedding day, one that you can sense by just looking at their photographs – taken by the immensely talented husband-and-wife duo at Erika Brown Photography.
Laura looked incredibly classic in her Pronovias wedding dress (one of our favorite designers here at Zankyou!); simple, sophisticated and very elegant, this gown was the perfect accompaniment for Laura at her and David’s traditional-style wedding, and her understated accessories only made her look that much more sublime. David looked appropriately dashing in his navy three-piece suit, with a peach boutonnière – and a pretty rad haircut too. However, as wonderful as this pair looked in their individual photos, their couple shots are where they both truly shine, with their unmistakeably joyous smiles.
After their ceremony at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral, David and Laura’s family and friends accompanied them to the historic Union Station in downtown Indianapolis to celebrate. Surrounded by their loved ones, the reception was a lively, exciting affair for everyone to enjoy, with plenty of drinks and dancing (as every reception should be!). And for all of you out there with a sweet tooth, scroll down to have a look at the wedding cake… and the cupcakes too!
We are very grateful to Erika and Austin at Erika Brown Photography for allowing us to showcase David and Laura’s big day – and for capturing it so beautifully in the first place! Complemented by the grandeur of their venue, and with a style and form that means every photo they take is just perfect, we would highly recommend that you check these two out when planning your own wedding. See for yourselves just how well they capture the emotions and feelings of a wedding…
