History and poetry at the service of the newlyweds
The Benelli family, together with the Benicelli family, owned large plots of land that extended from Bordonchio to the sea. The Benelli Castle stands in the Bordonchio countryside in Bellaria-Igea Marina, and was built in the style of a fortified residence of the 15th century by Count Pietro Spina on the site, where the Castrum Libani stood in medieval times. The structure lives a second life starting from the 1800s, when it takes on the features we know today.
The Castle nowadays
Castello Benelli is the perfect casket for an open air wedding. In fact, the ‘added value’ of the dwelling certainly lies in the outdoor spaces. From the civil ceremony to the banquet, passing through the photo shoot and the final party, the residence allows – in the organization of a wedding party – an excursus in various stages in the historical-artistic context of the structure and in the natural scenario in which it is inserted. It is, in fact, a location of great scenographic impact in the naturalistic context of a palette of colors and shades that touch all shades of green. The gaze widens from a romantic and suggestive pine forest, which extends to the sea and the imposing stables.
Even the interiors of Castello Benelli are worth mentioning, in fact each room has been frescoed in a different way to give an innovative touch to the structure. Each room has been recently restored and contributes to adding value to your wedding event, which you can choose to organize in the internal rooms and then continue in the magnificent gardens.
