Lots of women dream of finding their knight in shining armour…for this real wedding, the bride found her very own captain in uniform waiting for her at the altar. It’s just beautiful…
While Emily & Michael met at high school, they didn’t come together until after university. They knew they wanted to get married close to their families, so chose two very special places for their ceremony and reception.
With the groom being a captain in the Air Force and many of the guests members of the armed forces in general, the big day had a definite military influence.
The bride wore a strapless dress embellished with crystals, with gathering on the skirt to the side, adding beautiful volume and accentuating her shape. Her elegant orange and yellow bouquet added a touch of colour to the wedding look.
The groom, meanwhile, wore his elegant uniform, adding an extra touch of class to the big day.

The chapel where they got married was built in honour of George Washington. The couple’s “first look” images not only capture the emotion felt by Emily and Michael, but also, the amazing backdrop of the historical building.
The groomsmen in their navy blue suits were the perfect bodyguards for the happy couple. Meanwhile, the bridesmaids, with their silver strapless dresses wore a similar style to teh bride.
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a wedding celebration defined by a medley of oranges, yellows and browns. An especially emotional moment came about when the members of the armed forces were asked to stand up. More than half the guests got to their feet to the applause of the other attendees, in thanks for their service to the country.
