The Lebanese designer has been creating bridal collections that brides have been drooling over for years. A prominent feature of his bridal designs include luxurious overskirts – a trend we saw emerge in many collections during Fall 2016 Bridal Week. These skirts are not for the minimalist bride. The full, removable ball skirts adds an fairy-tale touch to any gown. This collection especially, exhibits magical touches of embroideries, point d’esprit, and sparkling beads.
It’s not hard to see why Zuhair Murad is a celebrity favorite, his signature embroidery decorates fitted bodices paired with empire waists, romantic pleats and dramatic overskirts are fit for a princess or a star, – you need only look at the custom wedding dress worn by Sofia Vergara for her wedding to Joe Mangianiello.
For the bride who’s looking for something more revealing, there are body-clinging numbers in sheer fabrics and lingerie-inspired silhouettes that can be fitted with overskirts and paired with long veils and trains.
