We all know the old saying: something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue (with the additional rhyme about a sixpence usually left out). These talismans are supposed to bring the bride luck and it’s also supposed to ward off the any bad luck or Evil Eye. Now some brides take this more seriously than others, but whether you do or don’t, there’s no denying that blue is a lovely shade and can look wonderful in weddings.

One way in which a bride can wear that would be easiest is to have it appear in one of her bridal accessories: earrings, necklace, ring – sapphire engagements rings became all the rage once Prince William proposed to Kate with his mother’s ring. Electric blue high heels would also be a great addition, but by far for us, the most unique of all these is the blue bridal veil.

For wedding decor, we especially like the blue table runners, and dark blue glass cups. Of course, we’re going to have to say our favorite is the blue vintage wedding car. It’s simply too adorable.
