There is a very distinct feeling to this year´s collection from Jenny Packham: the 2015 Bridal Collection is inspired by the photographs of British society photographer, Madame Yevonde – in particular, a series of portraits of society ladies dressed in classical costumes, known as ‘The Goddesses’. Like Madame Yevonde, Jenny Packham´s newest collection plays with light and color to create a hazy, neoclassical ambiance – classic ivory dresses are complimented by soft buttermilks, champagnes, and warm blush caramel, and sumptuous chiffon and tulle fabrics embody a soft, tonal, always romantic, and the feminine quality. The accessories from celestial capes and whimsical tiered hemlines, to exquisite birdcage veils add to the a romantic, mythical affection of the collection.
