This week, the city of lights was buzzing with excitement as noted fashion designers showcased their exquisite designs during the annual Paris Haute Couture Spring/Summer Fashion Week. Although the looks featured in this gallery are not wedding dresses, without a doubt, you can still draw inspiration from these fashion forward designs. Whether you are a wedding guest or bride-to-be, each design can be replicated to your own style.
Creative Director, Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel unveiled a collection quite different than the ones we’ve seen in the past. In an interview with VOGUE magazine, Karl says, “I wanted something impeccable, clean. I wanted the girls to look like walking fashion drawings.” With the exception of the mirrored circular runway, the entire collection was very clean, classic, and reminiscent of the early designs of Coco Chanel.
Newly inducted Christian Dior Artistic Director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, presented her first collection with the brand. With a maze garden as the setting, it was clear that Chiuri’s designs were inspired by nature. The majority of the collection featured extravagant gowns with floral designs. Such designs are the perfect kind of inspiration we look for when dreaming up our ideal wedding dress!
Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab and Galia Lahav, known for their fashion forward, risque designs, left an impressionable mark this week. The Middle-Eastern designers have made a name for themselves in the wedding industry and are known for designing some of the most coveted wedding dresses every bride wants to wear on their special day!
If you find yourself unsure about the kind of design you are looking to wear on your special day, then allow yourself to be inspired with the impeccably striking designs featured in this gallery of Paris Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2017 fashion.
