Being an international company we not only have an international employee base and operate in 23 countries, but we also travel around the world to meet exisiting and potential clients at industry fairs. In October 2016, the CEO Guillermo Fernandez-Riba and the Vice President Isabel Tesch travelled to New York for the New York International Bridal Week (NYIBW).
The fair started on October 7th and ended on the 10th, and the two Zankyou representatives met many exisiting clients and built foundations with new potential clients. They attended various catwalks and learned about the new styles for the upcoming wedding dress season, but importantly spoke to many industry professionals who have insightful advice allowing us to alter and improve our service.
We are very proud of the fact that Zankyou was the main media sponsor for the NYIBW 2016. As main media sponsors we see it as our responsibility to connect the two major wedding dress markets; Europe and America. Being the largest and most popular wedding website in Europe, we are able to bridge the gap for American desingers and allow them to expand into the European market from the other side of the Atlantic ocean.
It goes without saying that U.S. market is incredibly competitive, but the promise of success in America entices designers from all over the world. This has never been more evident than at NYIBW. There were 12 Israeli designers with their own catwalks at the show. This shows how important it is for market leaders, such as ourselves, to frequently visit these world renowned shows as they give you the opportunity to keep up to date on new market trends, for example the emerging market of Isreali designers.
We are working tirelessly to increase our presence in the North American market and it is a pleasure to see that all the endeavours are paying off. Attending events like the NYIBW is vital for future growth, and enables us to create personal relationships. It is safe to say that we are looking forward to attending the upcoming event in April, 2017.
