Vintage-Inspired Couture Wedding Garters by Florrie Mitton
Take the tackiness out of wedding garters with a sweet little piece from Florrie Mitton. With their quality materials, unique design and romantic vintage look, these wedding garters are a fresh take on the thigh-high bridal tradition.
Claire Quigley began designing couture garters after six years designing lingerie for mass retailers in London. She became tired of the mass production and craved creativity – to sketch and work with luxurious fabrics. She didn’t find her niche of couture wedding garters until she began to plan her own wedding in Italy.
“I really couldn’t find any garters I liked and nothing I saw suited my style. I decided to create a range that embodied everything I love about vintage lingerie, but with a modern twist. I figured that there must be other girls like me who were fashion conscious and wanted something different to what was on offer.”
So was the start of Florrie Mitton and a pretty new garter option for brides everywhere. With the vintage wedding trend that’s been so popular, a vintage wedding garter might be just what you’ve been looking for. Wear it as your something blue or as a sexy accessory for your bridal boudoir photo shoot. Just don’t toss it.
According to the Etsy shop, “Each Florrie Mitton garter is hand made in the UK using the finest laces, silks, trimmings and carefully sourced vintage findings. All garters come presented in a beautiful gift box for you to treasure always.”
