The luxurious Rivini Fall 2012 Bridal Collection made its debut at New York International Bridal Week and the results were ravishing. The diverse and extensive collection bestowed brides with innovative takes on the top trends of the season.
Similar to the collections by Vera Wang and Badgley Mischka, Rivini embraces nude and ivory tones for Fall 2012 as a conservative alternative to an all white wedding dress. We know that lace is ever-present in bridal wear, but this season we’re seeing most designers creating dresses with lace sleeves or transparent lace overlay. Rivini, too, is giving brides the choice whether or not to bear arms with her sleeved options.
Another texture trend spotted in the collection by the always glamorous and romantic Rivini was the use of three-dimensional floral accents, like those in the Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 Bridal Collection.
Nude isn’t the only hue making headway in bridal. We’re seeing a lot more colored wedding dresses. Pastel pinks were big in Spring 2012, and Rivini takes it a step further for Fall 2012 with a deeper-toned mauve gown.
Rivini designer Rita Vinieris is known for her subtle finishing touches including “soft tucks and pleats, understated beading, sheer panels of fabric, a beguiling illusion, and a variety of couture techniques and styles” – all accounted for in this collection.
Finally, this little feathered number is the one of the best designs we’ve seen in short wedding dresses. It’s flirty, fun and sure to make a statement for any bride on her wedding day.

What is the price range for these Rivini dresses?
kflaRivini dresses are in the high price tag range, probably looking at $5000 USD and above. That being said, I wasn’t too impressed by this collection. I couldn’t tell which way we were headed, towards Oscar? Towards B&M? Towards Vera Wang? Some color, no color? It struck me as being a really incongruent collection.
