Reem Acra Wedding Dresses Spring 2013: Contemporary Sweetness & Sass
Reem Acra’s latest line of wedding dresses recently made their dazzling debut at NYC’s Bridal Fashion Week - and this effervescent bridal collection definitely set many hearts aflutter.
Reem is notorious for her modern, European aesthetic, so we weren’t at all surprised that her collection had such a sleek, contemporary edge. Organic ruffles, romantic flowing silhouettes, and sparkling embellishments defined Reem Acra’s Spring 2013 bridal collection - but there were also sexy little sequined minis, and a healthy dose of vintage glamour.
A beautiful strapless ballgown with big, sculpturesque ruffles (seen above), was an easy favorite. Many designers (like Douglas Hannant and Amsale) played with dramatic, abstract silhouettes this year, and while such experimental looks are incredibly fashion forward, we have a hunch that the majority of brides would probably prefer the soft lines and romantic appeal of a Reem Acra wedding gown. (Not to imply that the designer didn’t take any risks – check out that full-length tulle cape!)
Reem Acra’s effortless sense of style and modern aesthetic certainly makes us swoon – but does it have the same effect on our fashion-savvy brides? Want to see more from this designer?
