Reem Acra Bridal Spring 2011

Reem Acra Spring 2011

Will Reem Acra have the big skirts and intricate beadwork of years gone by in her new 2011 bridal collection? Let’s find out…

While Reem Acra Spring 2010 was all about ballgown-style skirts, the designer’s Fall 2010 collection toned things down with a Oriental-influenced look.

This season, the Reem Acra 2011 bridal collection brings us femininity, and yes, a couple of big skirts, but it’s all much softer, with a few fun, quirky details. Strapless dresses are still big, and like her contemporaries, Jenny Packham and Vera Wang, the fabrics are left to speak for themselves, with the softness of tulle and the smoothness of silk complemented by accentuated by simple folds and clean lines.

Structured bodices are coupled with voluminous skirts that look like they’re made of yards upon yards of fabric and floral appliques make everything just a little more feminine.
