Red Carpet Ready: Wedding Hairstyle Inspiration from the 2012 Oscars
The dresses, the makeup, the HAIR! Hollywood’s biggest awards night is also the source of so much style inspiration you can take for your wedding. Here are some of the most fabulous hairstyles at this year’s Oscars to inspire you for your wedding hairstyle.
Vintage and retro-inspired hairstyles are always a popular choice for the Hollywood set and there were plenty of vintage looks at the awards. You don’t need to have an old Hollywood glamour wedding to get these red carpet looks, but a swipe of bright red lipstick a la Milla Jovovich and January Jones wouldn’t hurt.
Ballerina buns were also seen in high numbers with Jennifer Lopez going the to the greatest heights. Tina Fey added lift with a teased front and Kelly Ripa made hers sleek with a center part. Emma Stone‘s big, twisted bun paired with side-swept bangs gave her a polished and modern look, while Berenice Bojo combined her low knot with a beautiful braid down the side. Buns are perfect for showing off your neck on your wedding day and we’re a big fan of braids for brides.
Kate Mara and Louise Roe both sported curled and tousled side chignons with sparkling hair accessories. You can find similar hairpieces for your wedding that also double as a brooch and triple as a belt from Desla Couture!
These Hollywood starlets know there’s nothing more glamorous than long romantic waves. With her gorgeous features, it’s Angelina Jolie‘s no-fuss, go-to do. Jessica Chastain looked stunning as well with her flowing red locks half-up with subtle volume at the crown. Zankyou stylist Jeffrey Paul can show you how to get the same relaxed and romantic hairstyle for your wedding.
