Monique Lhuillier brings us yet another outstanding bridal collection for Spring 2013. The wedding gown designer responsible for outfitting so many celebrity brides has created a delightfully diverse and breathtakingly beautiful new collection of frothy white wedding dresses with loads of lace, oodles of tulle, beading and fine, feminine details. Here are 5 things we loved about the collection:

Sheer illusion necklines: Last year we saw plenty of Kate Middleton-inspired dresses with long lace sleeves and we were getting a little tired of it. There’s still a lingering presence of this trend in Lhuillier’s latest collection and we’ll admit – it is a classically elegant look. But what we’re loving now are the sheer lace and mesh illusion necklines. Lhuillier made both short and long-sleeved versions and we love the magical effect of intricate lace embroidery or delicate crystal beading floating over a bride’s skin.

Cap sleeves: We’ve already endorsed cap-sleeved wedding dresses for spring brides and we can certainly add some gowns from this Monique Lhuillier collection to our style suggestions. She combined mini cap sleeves with a deep-V or sweetheart neckline on a few gowns, but our favorite versions of ML’s cap sleeves have to be the intricately embroidered lace-y ones that delicately dance across the bride’s shoulders and collarbone.

Bows: What’s more feminine than a pretty little bow on a wedding dress? Many of ML’s dresses featured her signature bow belt. We like it best when it’s big, bold and covered in sparkling beads (check out top photo to see what we mean).

Texture: Lhuillier created tons of texture with lots of lace, layers of tulle and lace-tulle combinations. Floral and ruffled appliques give some of ML’s wedding dresses depth and drama you just want to reach out and touch.

Blush: While many designers were experimenting with bolder wedding dress colors this season, Lhuillier kept it traditional with a mostly white collection as usual. However, we love her addition of one pale pink wedding gown. Monique Lhuillier certainly has a style for every bride.
