Melissa Sweet for Priscilla of Boston

Melissa Sweet Arabella Style - Silk Garza strapless Fit to Flare gown with delicate dogwood flower embroidery along the bodice and scattered down the skirt.

We recently told you about Priscilla of Boston’s 2010 bridal wear, and today we’re putting the spotlight on two special collections within that range: Melissa Sweet and Reverie by Melissa Sweet. Let’s take a look at some of the whimsical, contemporary, feminine designs in these collections.

Minnie Style - Light Silk Shantung strapless short dress with sweetheart neckline and delicate draping molded into the fabric flounce detail

The 2010 Melissa Sweet collection for Priscilla of Boston features delicate designs with a laid-back air about them. Classic, mostly strapless shapes dominate this collection, with several displaying monochromatic floral accents as an extra feminine touch to the elegantly simple designs. Gowns in this collection range from $3,000-$10,000.

Melissa Sweet Nadia Style - Silk Radzimir strapless A-line gown with draped bodice and waist stylized with a modified bow and full skirt.

The nine dresses in this year’s second MS collection, Reverie by Melissa Sweet, are even more relaxed and modern. They feature elements like babydoll cuts and short skirts for a girlish, fun look, as seen in the Cairo Style below.

Reverie Cairo Style - Garza Short baby doll dress with beaded straps and ruffle hem.
Reverie Style Lisboa - Taffeta strapless A-line gown with baby doll silhouette, knot detail at bodice and all over floral embroidery.

Maybe it’s the flowers in the runway models’ hair, but we think these comfortable, summery styles would be ideal for a destination wedding in a tropical climate.

Reverie Style Taos - Taffeta short dress with bateau neckline, short sleeves and all over floral motif.
