Marchesa Wedding Dresses Spring 2013: For Three-Dimensional Brides

Marchesa wedding dress Spring 2013

One of our fashion-forward favorites, Marchesa revealed a fantastic new collection at NYC’s Bridal Market. The look is modern, the lines are clean, but there’s still that romantic old-fashioned feel to each piece. The new line of Marchesa wedding gowns is once again an varied mix of styles for every high-fashion bride personality. There were the usual lace covered gowns and fluffy layered tulle skirts as well as crystal beading and vintage-inspired dresses seemingly influenced by that 1920s thing we keep talking about. Many dresses featured trending illusion necklines like we saw at Monique Lhuillier, but the what we like most about the new Marchesa gowns is how they look from the back. Beautiful beaded, ruffled or lacy details and dramatic deep-V backs ensure a grand entrance AND exit, because a bride is not two-dimensional and should be admired from all angles.
