Love is in the July Air with Celebrity Weddings

Love was in the air this month, as famous couples tied the knot under the summer sun. And these couples seem to be first-timers, not repeat nuptials like some other Hollywood summer marriages in the news.

Former MTV veejay LaLa Vazquez and Denver Nuggets basketball player Carmelo Anthony had one of the most star-studded weddings in July. The couple wed in NYC, the bride wore Vera Wang, and guests included Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake and Ludacris. Their wedding was filmed for a VH1 reality show that is set to air in September.

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher

Country singer Carrie Underwood married Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher in a lavish Georgia ceremony on July 10. The bride and her bridesmaids all wore gowns designed by Monique Lhuillier.

Also on July 10, “The Office” star Jon Krasinski married The Devil Wears Prada actress Emily Blunt. The couple wed in Lake Como, Italy, where Jon Krasinski’s former Leatherheads co-star George Clooney has a home. The bride wore a gown by Marchesa.

Comedian Martin Lawrence also walked down the aisle on July 10. The funnyman married longtime girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs, and the couple’s two daughters served as flower girls.

Last but not least, Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom wed Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr this month in a small, discreet ceremony. The couple recently returned from their honeymoon in the Caribbean and are said to be expecting their first child.
