When the couple first met they were only kids but as time went on, it became clear that these two were really made for each other. Juanma and Rosa are like one of those couples you read about in books or watch in films, but everything about their relationship is real. They began dating just after their senior trip at the end of high school and since then they have never not been at each other’s side. Ten years later Juanma decided it was now the right time to pop the question and surprise Rosa. He took her to Paris, passing it off as a trip to celebrate their ten years together in a relationship. They went with some of their best friends, Carmen and Juan Manuel and had come up with the perfect way for Juanma to ask for Rosa’s hand in marriage: at the top of the Eiffel Tower! Rosa recalls how it really was the perfect occasion. It was beautifully romantic, just as emotional as she had imagined. All in all it was just perfect!
Soon afterwards the couple set 16th April as the date for the big day and decided on the Palacio de Portocarrero in Cordoba, Andalusia as their venue, whilst the ceremony took place in the Parroquia de la Asunción in Palma del Río.
What they wore
Rosa looked every inch a bride on her wedding day. Her dress was a Victorio y Luccino gown with beautiful lace detailing and a classic and elegant cut. Her shoes were from none other than Jimmy Choo and were of course fabulous; a pair of closed-toe heels covered with glitter. Rosa describes how the shoes were a real case of love at first sight, and that she knew that she just had to have them! Rosa picked out her earrings and ring from Tous to complement her bouquet, which was stunning and made up from pink peonies. Rosa’s hair and makeup was all done by the wonderful Ana B. Medina who has more than ten years’ expertise in this field and achieved the perfect innocent, simple yet romantic bridal look for Rosa. Rosa also chose to add a sentimental and highly original touch to her bouquet by adding two little cameos of her grandparents so that they could feel part of the big day just like everyone else.
Fabián Luque was the official photographer for the day. The couple are delighted with their wedding shots and would highly recommend Fabián’s services!
Rosa and Juanma chose Moyano Rodríguez to organize the catering for their wedding. Once again the couple were delighted with their choice of caterer for the originality of the dishes they created and for their highly professional quality of service. The tables were decorated in a vintage style even included some mini Eiffel Tower decorations as a memento of how the couple had become engaged.
All the guests received a sample of Tous perfume as well as a beautiful artisan soap from Apannedis, which went down really well with all the guests!
After the ceremony, Rosa was keen to change into something light and comfortable and decided to go for something from ASOS Bridal. Of course Rosa looked wonderful and she recalls how the celebrations went on into the early hours with plenty of dancing.
Rosa and Juanma fell in love during their first holiday at the end of college with friends and wanted to make sure that their honeymoon was just as special. Thanks to Viajes Doncel, their honeymoon was just that. In fact they were even lucky enough to get the chance to explore two incredible locations; Japan and Bali.
Here’s to Rosa and Juanma and the next chapter!
