Did you wear a Jessica McClintock dress to your senior prom? I’m sure a lot of you did, and I’m also sure many of you didn’t know that the designer has a line of wedding and bridesmaids gowns for fun-loving gals who have graduated from the high school dance to the wedding waltz.

The 11 wedding gowns in the collection vary in style, but mermaid-style or frothy-looking taffeta skirts and ruched bodices are a common theme.

The bridesmaids collection is decidedly sassy, with Sex and the City-inspired cocktail numbers. The short skirts, supersized rosettes and jewel-toned colors on offer would be great for a summer or destination wedding. In the ‘Guests of the Wedding’ section of the Jessica McClintock site, there are plenty of short-and-strapless dresses that would be suited for a more casual wedding. And of course, several of the dresses labeled for prom would actually work quite well as bridesmaids dresses too! We especially like prom ball-gown style #53998, with its eye-catching waist detail and luscious triple bubble mermaid skirt.

All this talk about prom has got us at Zk wondering – did you have a gorgeous gown or a dress disaster for your school dances? Have you maintained a similar sense of style since high school or have you done a fashion 180? Sound off in the comments!
