Hollywood has long been the inspiration for glamorous, elegant gowns for formal occasions. And this year, perhaps in defiance of credit crunch gloom, bridal collections are taking a page out of the film world’s book and getting really glam. So lights, camera, action – let’s look for those Hollywood-style bridal dresses now!

So what do you need to look for to make sure your wedding dress would be fit to grace any red carpet?

• Figure-hugging bodices – Hollywood stars show off their curves and you can too, but you don’t have to go over the top to look glam. A well-structured bodice or an embellished neckline can draw attention to your feminine attributes without being too revealing.
