Duckseat Carpool for your Green Wedding Guests

Today’s weddings are increasingly using clever ways to make the nuptial occasion a moment of social good, through donations to their favorite charities or by minimizing their wedding’s carbon footprint by using green wedding service providers and products. Carpooling for your wedding guest can help save on gas as well as allow for extra socializing time before and after the wedding. That’s not just one, but two thumbs up in our book.

Duckseat is an online tool to help you organize ridesharing for any kind of events, including your wedding. Developed by creators Michael and Martin out of Denmark, Duckshare is currently in beta and available in Europe, USA, Australia and Asia. The complete version will include lots of useful information about the travel log and environmental impact of sharing a ride.  A couple of things about Duckseat that we really like is that a ridesharing event is really easy to create and carpool coordination is all managed online.

To get started, first, you need to create an event…

Next, share the automatically generated link to your guests (via your Zankyou webpage, for example!) and then guests can view the event and search for a ride.

If you find a compatible lift, you can then send this driver a message and hey presto, you’re on your way to the wedding and to making new wedding dance partners!

What a fantastic idea! Stay tuned for further developments from Duckseat in the near future! Whether it is a wedding, a sporting events, festivals as well as business meetings, seminars or exhibitions, you can use Duckseat to get grab yourself a ride or fill your car with passengers. Don’t be a duck, duck, goose!
