Vera Wang Fall 2012 Bridal Collection of Dark & Daring Wedding Dresses
Vera Wang embraced her dark side for her recent bridal collection for Fall 2012. The high priestess of the bridal couture world featured a predominantly black and nude collection of wedding dresses.
Ms. Wang almost always thinks outside the box when it comes to her designs and her collection this past Sunday was no exception. Gorgeous silk, chiffon, tulle and organza were all showcased in a deconstructed fashion.
Traditional brides looking for an all white gown need not apply. The designer seems to be stepping away from showing an all white collection like most of her counterparts. She also went in a different direction for her spring 2012 bridal collection, in which she highlighted pastel colored wedding dresses.
The designer was quoted as saying “I just want to show all brides that white is not the only way to go and they can have other options” Of course these made-to-order wedding gowns can be purchased in the traditional white color, but why blend in when you can surely stand-out?
The color choices and design is definitely for the fashion-forward bride. What we love about the designer’s proposal is that today’s modern bride does not have to fit into the traditional molds of the past.
This is one of the most pivotal days in a bride’s life. It should be a memorable one and what is more memorable than walking down the aisle in an all black wedding dress? This collection will not please the masses. But for the few daring brides searching for something out of the ordinary, then this is the collection for you!
