CHRISTOS Collection

The CHRISTOS Collection was established by Cyprus-born designer Christos Yiannakou. After over 20 years of designing renowned, romantic wedding gowns, Mr. Yiannakou retired in 2005. He passed his legacy onto Ethiopian designer Amberra Amsale, who now adds her own modern touch to the collection in addition to her other brands, AMSALE and Kenneth Pool.

Waist accents are huge in both the 2010 and Spring 2011 CHRISTOS wedding dress collections. Flowers, bows, belts – you name it. These details are perfect to accentuate both slim and curvy silhouettes and to highlight the transition from fitted bodice to flared skirt.

Wedding gowns from the CHRISTOS collection have been seen on the big screen. Katherine Heigl wore a CHRISTOS design in the film 27 Dresses, and Uma Thurman sported a CHRISTOS gown in The Accidental Husband. Most recently, CHRISTOS gowns were seen in the Kate Hudson movie My Best Friend’s Girl.

Lisette - Spring 2010 Collection. Double Organza Strapless gown with delicate embroidered bodice and curved neckline. Full A-line skirt with side pick-up and Organza sash. Available only at the flagship salon.

Bouquet Nouveau - Fall 2010 Collection. Fil Coupé Double Silk Organza Strapless floral A-line gown with draped skirt and sculpted bow detail.

J'Adore - Fall 2010 Collection. French Corded Lace and Tulle Strapless, dropped-waist gown with lace bodice and tiered pleated tulle skirt.
