Carolina Herrera Fall 2012 Bridal Collection of Clean & Classic Wedding Dresses

For brides who desire a traditional look yet have a sophisticated sense of style, Carolina Herrera has a dress for you. Her Fall 2012 Bridal Collection consists of clean and classic wedding dresses with subtly intricate details and feminine touches.

The dresses might be simple, but the collection is diverse. From knee-length to ball gown, strapless to sweater sleeved, there is a style for every bride and wedding occasion. It’s no wonder then, that Herrera cites the brides themselves as the inspiration for her bridal collections.
“The real women of today wear these dresses, and they should be the inspiration. This is an homage to them.” – Carolina Herrera
So bow gracefully and behold the results of your own bridal beauty. We hope that you will be inspired by Herrera’s inspiration that you inspired within her. Like they say, everything is circular.

Many of the dresses were belted, accentuating the waistline for a very feminine look. Fabric belts were tied into bows for a relaxed chic vibe, characteristic of Herrera’s designs. Others were bands of ornate crystal, adding an glamorous and elegant touch to clean and breezy dresses.

Just like Badgley Mischka’s Fall 2012 Bridal Collection, Herrera seems to have taken cues from the fashions of the royal wedding of Katherine and William. This demure knee-length dress paired with a mohair sweater was clearly inspired by the second gown and sweater that Kate Middleton wore at her wedding.

While most of the dresses were straightforward, here’s one that was business in the front, party in the back. The simplicity of the dress is balanced by the voluminous detail of the back to emphasize a bride’s exit.

Compared to her Spring 2012 Bridal Collection, I’m surprised to only see one ball gown. The color is very interesting…an almost lavender tint.

I really like the chiffon-y drapey number with the crystal belt. It’s very Grecian.

Wow, these are definitely dresses for real women. I think they’re just gorgeous and elegant and wearable at the same time. Sometimes designers are so obsessed by upping the standard that they forget that there is a real person who has to wear the dress for hours at a time. I love love love the Kate Moss-like model and am increasing buying into the short wedding dress. Short hemlines are definitely here to stay!!!
