Simply Elegant Badgley Mischka Wedding Dresses for Spring 2012

STRAPLESS AND BELTED DRESS FROM BADGLEY MISCHKA

The American design duo Bagdley Mischka just unveiled their Spring 2012 Bridal collection. With evening wear and Oscar night clientele that includes Madonna, Teri Hatcher and the Bush twins, Jenna and Barbara, this exclusive wedding dress collection is for brides seeking flattering waistlines and demure classic touches.

Mostly in ivory and white colors, the designs were simple yet elegant with fine detail, which is pleasing to the eye.

The flattering high-waisted gowns make waistlines disappear and pearl studded belts provided additional form and embellishments.

Most of the collection stayed true to the design aesthetic that Badgley Mischka is known for. They know a woman’s body and how to fit it. These wedding dresses hugs you in all the right places and accentuates your best features.

With intricate draping and added adornments such as rosés, crystals and feathered boleros, the collection is for classic brides who long for classic dresses like The Carolina Herrera Spring 2012 Bridal collection.

The Badgley Miscka Spring 2012 collection was appealing but perhaps a bit too safe.  With only 10 dresses to choose from, the collection didn’t offer much range. If you are willing to shell out over five figures for a dress, perhaps that bridal investment could be made elsewhere.

While we embrace simple and elegant, we would like to see a bridal collection that steers clear from the designer’s ready to wear collection (the Badgley Mischka bridal couture division is produced in conjunction with Pronovias US). Which Badgley Mischka dress was your favorite? Did you think it was too safe a collection? Share your thoughts with us and leave a comment at the box below.

I totally agree that the dresses were too simple and lacked a certain je ne sais quoi. If I’m going to pay 10 grand for a dress then it better stop traffic and these dresses didn’t do that.
