Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman are engaged!

The star of “The Princess Diaries” may be getting a real-life fairy-tale ending after all. This past weekend, actress Anne Hathaway and actor/jewelry designer Adam Shulman got engaged. Do you think she’ll wear Prada?

The Hollywood pair officially announced their engagement after these photos revealed Hathaway wearing an engagement ring in Brooklyn over the weekend. The ring is said to be a “design collaboration between Adam and Kwiat Heritage jewels.”

The couple began dating in 2008, (maybe too soon) following her breakup with ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, after he pled guilty to 14 counts of money laundering, conspiracy and wire fraud. However, Hathaway admits to being “a romantic at heart” and has said of their relationship, “I am very much in love with him, [only] Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!”

While her last relationship was the subject of a media frenzy, this one is much more low-key. “Mellow doesn’t always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life,” she said.
