Think all ball gowns are a little over-the-top? For those who never imagined a princess ball gown could be so simplistic, Amsale has a few things to show you. Using crisp silks, satins and sometimes neat layers of tulle, the beauty of these gowns lies in their use of subtle details rather than over-adornment.

Although there aren’t any sleeves like the Monique Lhuillier or Marchesa collections, the necklines are mostly conservative. In this classic collection, there are high, straight, sweetheart and one-shoulder necklines.
