I would six months before the wedding is good timing to fix any last minute mistakes.

It's 3 aand 1/2 months before our wedding and I just sent my invitations to be printed. They better be perfect!

I say 4 months and then mail them 3 months before.

no you shouldn't mail them until 2 months at the earliest
