Who owns the rights to your wedding photos?

The wedding photographer we want to hire wants the rights to our wedding pictures. He is one of the best but we are not sure we want to sign over the rights. What’s the best compromise?

This is a tough one. How set are you on having him as the photographer? What will he be using the photos for and why? Will it be for commercial use and is he set to gain money on your photos? You should ask all these questions and also maybe research another as backup.

I disagree! Get another photographer. Seems like this guy will be making money off you even after the wedding. Sounds shady!
