Is it OK to have uneven number of bridesmaids vs. groomsmen in your wedding party?

So I want to have just 3 bridesmaids but my fiance has 7 groomsmen! Is this OK to have an uneven amount of people in your bridal party? How do we work with this?

I think that this is OK but you just don't have to do the traditional pairing of bridesmaids with groomsmen which I think is a little awkward and outdated anyway.
