Forest Reception

I think you need to get a permit to be able to have your reception outdoors in a public outdoor space like a forest. Most of the friends who have gotten married on outdoor grounds are usually through a wedding venue that has an outdoor space. Any particular state or country you had in mind?

my friend got married in a forest/castle venue near san diego that was beautiful. i forget the name but i'll ask her and then pass you the info.

We are looking to have the reception in Colorado. Trying to stay within 60 miles from Denver. There are many venues that allow you to do this but the cost is either the same or more than using their indoor venues. I know a few people who have gotten permits or paid small park fees to actually have ceremonies like this, but I'm wondering if it's possible to have a reception in one of these places. Just paying a state park fee seems to be a big money saver.

Oooooh this reminds me of Bella and Edward's Twilight wedding! How beautiful. (sorry for my teen moment, but the wedding was stunning!)
